Your pancreas goes on strike when you consume large amounts of carbohydrates!



When you consume an excessive amount of carbohydrates, especially simple sugars, your blood sugar levels can rapidly increase. This leads to an excessive release of insulin, which helps to quickly transport the excess glucose into your cells. However, if there is a consistent and prolonged intake of excessive carbohydrates, the cells start becoming resistant to the effects of insulin, leading to higher blood sugar levels.


Over time, when cells continue to resist insulin, the pancreas struggles to keep up with the demand for insulin production and eventually becomes fatigued, leading to a condition known as insulin resistance. This can increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and other health problems, such as cardiovascular disease, fatty liver disease, and metabolic syndrome.


Hence, it is important to maintain a balanced and varied diet that includes fiber, proteins, fats and carbohydrates, to help regulate blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of developing insulin resistance and related health problems.
